Terms of Service & Disclaimer
Effective Date: October 2026
1. Mathematical Estimation Disclaimer
Calculations provided on YarnYardCalc (including yarn yardage from scale weight, blanket skein requirements, and multi-strand substitutions) are mathematical estimates based on average fiber density standards from the Craft Yarn Council (CYC).
Actual fiber consumption will vary according to individual maker hand tension, stitch tightness, specific fiber blends (wool vs. acrylic vs. cotton), hook/needle geometry, and blocking techniques. We always strongly recommend making a 4" × 4" gauge swatch and purchasing all required skeins in the same dye lot with a 10% safety buffer.
2. Free Educational Utility
YarnYardCalc is provided free of charge for hobbyist, design, and educational purposes on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind.
3. Intellectual Property
